Babysitting

We babysat for the Children's Pastor for Pastor Appreciation. He has two adorable little girls and they were sooo good! They had fun jumping with Amber and they both loved the dogs! It was a good chance for Amber to be around younger kids. Her best friend is Madison who is only 4, but for some reason she feels there is a big difference between 2yr and 4yr olds (hee hee). We talked about how Amber was the little one and how great Ashley (who was a lot older) was with her. Now Amber is the older (cool kid) for little ones to look up to. She did a good job sharing her toys and playing with them. Ryan did his own thing. It's not that they were too young so much as that they were all girls (hee hee). His latest comment about little kids was in our small group. He said they were all too young. He didn't know how old they were but he thought they looked like they would put things in their mouths. That's how he judges age I guess.

11/09/07

Amber used her birthday money from Grandma and Randy and Pam (plus we matched her money) to buy this winter coat (that will hopefully last two seasons). It is two coats in one and the inner jacket is reversable too. So she is finally willing to wear a jacket. If you look closely you can see that she still wear's skirts though (she must be warm blooded like her Daddy). I have to fight with her to wear tights so she doesn't freeze (hee hee). She also got a "My Little Pet Shop" toy.

Ryan earned some belt loops/medals and had fun at the Pack meeting this month. Dad and Amber both went with him when he got his awards. He is still loving Scouts =)

Amber's 7th Birthday!!!

We started the day by surprising Amber at school and bringing her lunch!

Mike decorated with lots of balloons and some cool streamers and a Happy Birthday sign - he did a great job!

We had a big jupiter jump that our neighbors gave us because they outgrew it. The kids loved it

We had pizza, cake, ice cream and lots of jumping

Hanna is a super sweetie and was in Amber's class last year! She is the daughter of the lady who took care of Amber last year.

Amber's little friend Madison is only 4 years old, but she is Amber's best friend and lives next door. She was the only girl who was able to sleep over.

All the kids wanted to help Amber open up her gifts (even the boys). The guys didn't seem to mind that it was a "Princess Party". They dressed like Ninja's and were as excited about the gifts as the girls. The guys had to spend the night because their mom was out of town. I was glad we had at least one girl spend the night too.

Fall Festival

Ryan carved a pumpkin with his best friends (all by himself) They had a blast =)

Amber and I at Fall Festival! She's a ballerina, I'm Cord-On-Blue (get it?)
Ryan was dressed up like a Ninja. He wore his black Gi that he earned from Kenpo Karate, but can't wear now in the Christian Karate since he had to start over as a white belt. Oh well, it's a great costume - hee hee. Amber was a ballerina. Their best friend Sam is also in the picture. This was taken at the costume contest. . . . . . they didn't win but they had fun =)

We went to Fall Festival at our church instead of Trick-or-Treating. They had all kinds of big blow up games/jumping things for the kids to play in, and two go carts that they could race.

We had a hay ride and a bon fire, but it was WAY TOO WINDY to toast marshmallows or make smores. We had fun anyway.

Airshow in Muskogee

We went to the airshow today in Muskogee OK, it was a great time =) Mike and Ryan loved it!

When we first got there we could see the Blue Angels getting ready!

They had a jumping ride the kids both loved too!

We spent most of the day watching planes from our seats.

Ryan and Mike got a tour of this one (they will kill me for not knowing the name) Mike got a T-shirt too. He said "look a $10 T-shirt". I said "they are all $10". He said "yeah, but they aren't all as cool as this one". He got his T-shirt (hee hee)

We loved watching the Blue Angels! Ryan and Amber both got signatures from almost all of the pilots too =)

We got there just one hour after they opened, and stayed until they closed (almost 8 hours total). It was a great day! Perfect weather too (not hot, not cold). Ryan got some dog tags with his name, birthdate and Owasso, OK on them. (he keeps slipping and calling it a dog collar - he's so cute). Amber got a red teddy bear with a flag on it.

It was an awesome family outing . . . like a mini vacation.

(the only bad part was the dog sitter forgot to let the dogs out . . . they went 11 hours . . . . . and seemed okay . . . . although I'm sure they would say otherwise)

Fall Break

We had an awesome time on vacation in Branson!
We did everything we wanted to in just three days (hee hee). We had two days in Silver Dollar City, and there were absolutely NO crowds on Wednesday! The hotel we stayed at was great! The kids loved swimming in the indoor pool. We fit in a lot in the time we were there.

They used Ryan for a majic show and he loved it

We went on a tour of the cave . . . it was incredible! The kids got a bit scared, but they did it! I know they will remember it for a long time . . . . I just hope it's a good memory (hee hee).

The water show at Branson Landing
was very cool!
It was even better at night with lights and fire along with the music . . .
but those pictures didn't turn out as good.

They even had child care available which Mike and I took full advantage of! Amber and Ryan may not look too happy about it, but trust me they loved it =)

We had fun playing Putt Putt Golf . . . Mike won (of course), but they loved the airplane that was at the course almost as much as playing golf.

We had a great time, great weather, and will hopefully go again . . . . someday =)

Scout-O-Rama

There was a lot of fun things to do at the Scout-O-Rama and we got a lot of pictures. Mike was able to help both Ryan and Amber shoot a BB gun. Amber didn't want to at first, but when Ryan went back to shoot a second time Amber agreed to give it a shot . . . so to speak.

Mike helping Ryan the first time.

Ryan shooting on his own . . . a little expert now :)

Amber liked to have Dad's help

Ryan got to shoot a bow and arrow too

And they both liked the log roll

We really had a great day! It got us all involved in Scouts and Ryan loves Scouts even more.
