I asked Ryan what he had for meals . . . he didn't say much except that there was a really big drumstick . . .


It definitely made an impression

Ryan was able to do what he loves most in a segment called "Make It, Take It" . . . he created an airplane out of duct tape =) He did a great job, of course.

Scouts Outing

Ryan and Mike went on the Scout outing to the Oxley Nature Center this weekend. Mike said "we saw plants and trees and bugs and stuff", Ryan added "and poison oak". I would tell add more, but that's all I got out of em . . . . oh ya, and they had fun =)

Pre-Teen Late Nighter at Freedom

We had a great time at Freedom at the "Late Nighter Party". We played games outside . . .They had a relay race and the first event in the relay race was to roll each other in a tube . . . .
The second event in the relay race was crawling through the bubble ball

Of course we had the water balloon sling shotsluckily we had two so we had teams shooting at each other
After the games the kids started to take over . . . things got a little more crazy and a lot more wet . . . (if that's possible)and the adults gave up and went into hidingThey had an ice cream sundae decorating contest


They played games of twister and the winners of each round had a twist off for the final winners who got prizes =)
The kids played human bowling. Bowling pins were set up . . .
The kids pushed each other on a scooter.And you throw out your arms and legs to try to knock down the pins.
Some adults had as much fun with the human bowling as the kids did.We had a "gross out" eating contest. Everyone participated in the first round. We had two teams and everyone had to dig a worm out of the chocolate pudding with a knife and eat it (gummy worm of course). Then we had a second round with mystery dessert. We had ice cream cones with mayo in the bottom and ice cream and mashed potatoes in a little cup. The didn't know what in it was though. Not as many people participated in this round. A few tried, but only two finished.
Jadon was the first to finish her ice cream and mayonaise. She ate her's faster than anyone else too.Jacob finished his, even though he had to hold his nose to do it =) He won a prize since he was the only other one who managed to finish his. No one managed to eat all of the ice cream and mashed potatoes because the potatoes were frozen to solid.The last thing we did was get everyone together for a game of tag in the darkEveryone had a fun time, but it was a late night.We had a pre-teen late nighter party at Freedom on Friday and Ryan and I went. It was from 7pm-11pm and at the end of the night the kids had a good time and the adults were wiped out (I still am)
