Omni Summer Picnic

The company picnic for Mike's work was at Frontieer City, an amusement park in Oklahoma City. We rode rides all day and ate lunch together for prizes and giveaways. Mike won "an Omni aparel", so he will probably get a nice dress shirt for work with the Omni logo on it. He was kind of bummed because they had four different coupons for 4 live lobsters and a lobster pot. I would not have enjoyed cooking them =( They always have some great gifts though. We had a great day riding rides =)

Ryan just watched, mouth hanging open, while his dad went on the Mind Bender ride (I think it bent Ryan's mind - he said he would NEVER go on it)

This is Mike on the Mind Bender - he is in the front row, the farthest seat (bottom of picture). Not that you can really tell.

Ryan said he was afraid of heights (that explains the goofy look). . . .

. . . so I had to make him look up for every picture. (I don't think he is really afraid of heights)

Amber's hair kept getting in her face, but she really didn't mind.

It was also kind of windy, which was nice because it was sooooo hot (100 degrees).

It was easy to take lots of pictures of Amber driving Mike in the little cars.

It wasn't as easy to get a picture of Ryan driving our car. (look at his dimples =)

They had some funny little buildings that the kids liked going in . . . .

. . so I could get their picture looking out the window.

I tried to get both of them in this picture, but the railing was in the way=(

This picture shows the slight difference in height between Ryan and Amber (notice the 4'6" on the door frame.)

Meal Deal at Freedom

After we ate Hot Dogs at the Meal Deal the kids had a great time playing =)

Ryan and Amber have been having fun with their new neighbor friends (although we still miss our old neighbors). They joined us for the last FreedomKIDS last week and Meal Deal this week.
Ryan's action shot, he just jumped off!
It doesn't look like he's up that high

But he is, really.
He was not afraid of heights, but we made him get down to keep him safe and so he wouldn't give the little kids any ideas. We couldn't find Amber, then we realized 3rd-6th grade were supposed to be playing kick-ball. That's where Amber was, so everyone joined her. I know this picture doesn't exactly look like they are playing yet . . . but they are.
Amber was playing 1st baseHere they are watching the ball, you can't hear the voices in the back yelling "run", and she did, she is actually very fast!
Okay, this is not a picture of Amber running, she's dancing, but she's having fun =)
I love this shot! He just kicked the ball and you can't see the ball, but you can see it's shadow! How cool =)
Amber's kick wasn't quite as powerful . . . but she kicked the ball =)
Here's Ryan . . . he said "I'm not athletic" . . . he's playing outfield . . . or should I say "he's playing in the outfield".
Ryan ended up getting into the game, and even pitched!

I told them to look athletic! Grace is showing her muscles, I think Amber is dancing again.I love these action shots, she just threw the ballHe caught it and is running to tag someone out. They had a lot of fun, but we were all very hot! It was in the 90's today and not much cooler tonight. It was a great ending to the last day of school!

School Talent Show

Amber did a great job at her school talent show on the last day of school. I got to go and watch too, which was awesome!
Her friends did a great job singing. Amber begged me to sing, but I told her to play the piano, she had already played this song for her recital so she was ready. I think the kids had a good last day of school =)

Lemonade for Sale $.25

Anyone want some lemonade? Only $.25 what a deal =)

Graduation

I went to watch Ryan graduate from Hayward Smith Elementary on his last Friday, now only three more days to go. I took these with my phone so I can't zoom in, but this first picture shows Ryan getting his medal from the principal. (Ryan is wearing a maroon shirt with a white stripe across the top.)
Ryan is standing in line along the wall waiting for all the other kids to get their medals.

The medals are kind of cool, I don't remember getting anything like that when I finished elementary. Next year Ryan goes to the 6th grade center

Amber's Piano Recital

Amber had a piano recital this Friday. She played "When the Saints Go Marching In". It was a dinner recital. She did great of course =) She plans on playing it for her school talent show as well.
