I got to Chaperone Amber's Choir trip for their choir contest. They won a trophy and all the kids won medals so I guess you can say the did good! We had a great group of girls that we got to hang out with! It was hot (high 80's) and the park was packed (sometimes an hour wait for one ride), but it was fun and everyone had a good time! Even the chaperones!
A little bit about our life, our latest pictures, and what is going on with everyone in our family . . . we each have our own little corner to add whatever we want. Just our way of keeping in touch with friends and family.

Ryan's Birthday Dinner
We took Ryan out to dinner for his birthday. He wanted to go to P.F. Chang's. We had only gone there once in OK and a couple of times in San Francisco (when we lived there), but the kids had never been there. I asked Ryan how he picked the restaurant and he said that he heard an ad on the radio and every time we have frozen Asian food we make sure to buy P.F. Changs. Smart Boy! The food was great! Ryan surprised his dad who just flew in that night by dressing up in his new suit jacket that we bought while Mike was out of town. It was a great dinner!
Ryan ordered a spicy meal and it had some red peppers on it. The first thing he did was pop one of the peppers in his mouth . . . not such a great idea. He found out pretty quick that it was a lot hotter than he expected. We were a little worried, but he drank water and ate ice and managed okay. He got up to go to the rest room and Mike tried just the tip of one of the peppers to see how hot it was . . . . it was WAY hotter than he thought! He had a hard time with it, and he does hot! He was amazed at how good Ryan did. He ordered milk for Ryan as soon as he got back. Ryan was okay, but Mike knew it would help his stomach etc. later. Wow, Ryan amazed us both!

Ryan's Birthday Party
For Ryan's birthday we let him invited his friends over for a sleepover. He invited 8 friends. They climbed trees, played with nerf swords, ran around in our front/back yard playing hide and seek (in the dark) and were really a good group of boys! They seemed to have fun =) They ate pizza, cake, ice cream, doritos and anything else they could find. Reminder: 4 liters of pop is not enough for 8 boys. Even though they stayed up very late, all 8 of them made it for church the next morning (and LifeGroups at 9:00 am)
Ryan turned 15 . . . . but when it came time for his cake we just put this one candle in it . . . not sure why.
