Dumb Dog =(

I had a $200 lunch thanks to my dog =( I went home to let the dogs out at lunch time. Shelby was chewing on her favorite cube (as always). She was growling at Buddy (normal), but then would whine. Then she walked around and lay next to Booker trying to look "normal", but she still had the cube in her mouth. I thought something was up right away. So, I told her to drop the cube . . . . I tried to take the cube . . . it was stuck. I stopped by Southern Agriculture hoping someone might be willing to give it a try, but they only said "better take her to the vet and take your plastic" . . . .rats! They had to drug her so she was totally out of it and then they used a saw and heavy duty cutters to get it off. They had to saw off one entire side of the cube. They took pictures, because they had never seen this before. They said they will e-mail them to me and I will add them to the blog. The hardest part . . . explaining to Mike that "NO" he could not have sawed it off himself and "YES" we really did "HAVE" to pay to fix this problem. That or surrender the dog or face animal cruelty charges . . . not going to happen. It took four helpers and 45 minutes to cut, saw, chip away at the cube until she could finally be free.
