Back To School

Well, we are back to school and getting back on schedule. It was a fun summer, I think the kids would agree. We didn't take any vacations, but Ryan went to Scout Camp, Church Camp and Sports Camp. Amber went to Sports Camp and saw two different tutors (okay, doesn't sound quite as much fun as Ryan's summer, but I think she would say it was). They both had swimming lessons and really learned how to swim YEA! They got to go swimming a lot with Dad and Mom on the weekends, or on Dad's day off! They loved that and are both doing AWESOME! Jumping off the diving board, Ryan is even diving off the diving board, and swimming across the deep end etc. We are all thrilled. Amber has started piano lessons (after much pleading - hee hee). She is loving it =) Ryan has decided to stop Karate. He never really got back into the swing of things here since they don't do Kenpo like Hanover . . . oh well. He never quit! I was very proud of him, he has stuck with it since we moved here.

Mike and I just celebrated our anniversary! We didn't go out to eat at the expensive restaurant (The Melting Pot in Tulsa) but went to a really nice meal at PF Chang (we had a gift certificate Mike won from work). Then we ended up going to the "cowboy" store afterwards and both bought belts (Mike has wanted one since we moved here, but thought they were too expensive). I got a good deal on my belt and an even better deal on a suede duster (one can never have enough coats). Mike's belt was expensive, but he also found a cool shirt that he really likes. It was a great night out! (long overdue). We really need to have more date nights =)

Had to finally update this blog (sorry it's been so long) and include some pictures of the kids on the first day of school. The one I took of the two of them together in the morning before they left. (Work let me come in late and leave early on this special day). The others are when they got off the bus (of course). They are doing great! Having Amber go to a tutor this summer was definitely worth it! They both have awesome teachers! We are getting off to a good start =)
