We went for a three night campout over Memorial Day Weekend =) It was a lot of fun and we went with three other families from our church! Being with friends made meals easier, we all pitched in and helped . . . okay, so maybe Mike helped more with the cooking than I did, at least for breakfast =)

One of the best parts of the campout was being with all our friends! The kids loved having lots of kids to play with.

The dock was completely underwater, but they had fun swimming out to it . . . until we got kicked out (did I mention the "no swimming signs"). Oh well, they had fun for awhile.

There was a lot of fun things to do while camping like fishing (okay, so they were only dreaming, they would have had to get up before the dawn to catch the boat for fishing - Tom and Allen are die hard fishermen)
This is more like the fishing they did.

Lots of bike riding
Book reading (I finished the book for our summer book club)
Even playing cards

Since Tom had his boat they got to go fishing, but more importantly we all got to go tubing =)

We all got turns riding the tube, but Mike went with the kids the first time out.

Ryan was cheering them on

Amber liked the perch on the boat =)

Tom liked to drive really fast =)

We cooked lots of hotdogs over the fire for lunches =)

The water was so high at the beach this picnic table area was even flooded.

We saw the cutest puppy, and they let Amber hold it =) (no, we did not bring it home, we have more than enough dogs as it is).

Ryan enjoyed disection this tiny dead fish . . . he had it in several pieces and then went around detailing each piece to anyone who would listen (and even if you didn't listen . . . these are his lungs, his spine, his fins, his mouth etc.)

The last night was Beth's turn to make dinner, and since she went home for church she was able to bring back an awesome chocolate cake (to us heathens who missed church), yes, it was as good as it looks =)

Our last night around the campfire

It poured down rain just as we packed everything up (some of us didn't quite make it). It was the rainest and definitely most memorable campout so far! Loved it!
